Strength in Healing: Trauma-Informed Practices for Survivors

This interactive 2.5-hour virtual training provides participants with a compassionate introduction to trauma and Trauma-Informed Care. Participants will explore how trauma can affect the brain, body, emotions, behavior, and relationships while learning to recognize common triggers and survival responses, including fight, flight, freeze, and fawn.

Through guided reflection and practical activities, participants will learn how to apply trauma-informed principles when supporting survivors. The training emphasizes psychological safety, trust, cultural responsiveness, respectful communication, meaningful choice, and survivor empowerment.

This training is appropriate for service providers, advocates, educators, caregivers, community members, and anyone interested in supporting survivors through a trauma-informed approach.
